The Table of twelve

The Table Soup Kitchen launches an innovative fundraising campaign

The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation is making room at their table for 12 local business owners.

“Our BRING IT TO THE TABLE campaign is hoping 12 Muskoka business owners will partner with us, and
financially assist with programs, services, and our men’s shelter,” said Heather Berg, president of The Table Soup Kitchen.

Berg explained that their financial needs are great, and they will only continue to grow as they aim to provide more infrastructure, manpower, and services to the local community. The need for reliable financial assistance has become very apparent, and fundraising events alone can’t begin to cover off their ongoing operational expenses.

It’s on the heels of this realization, and out of desperation, that they’re now seeking 12 business
owners to partner with them.

They are hoping that with support from the commercial business sector they will be in a better position
to create a solid and long-term plan. Creating strong and sturdy financial partnerships with local
community business owners will be a game changer, and will have an enormous impact on local
poverty, hunger, and homelessness.

They’re reaching out to boardrooms across Muskoka and asking owners to become one of 12 who will meet them at The Table, and financially assist their programs, services, and men’s shelter. Each business owner would be asked to donate $2,250 per month for 12 months, for a total donation of $27,000.

They understand this is an enormous ask, so they are ready with an enormous amount of
recognition and gratitude. Their Foundation team, and marketing volunteers have constructed an
involvement and recognition package that will be presented to interested donors. Additionally, potential
financial partners will be invited to a private meeting to learn how their contribution will be part of
solving a variety of systemic issues throughout our local community.

Business owners are invited to pull up a chair, and learn more at the TheTableFoundation.ca website, or click here.
