On Friday July 8, 2016, Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was made aware of a theft from a boat at the Avery Beach boat slips. Taken was a 15HP Yamaha outboard motor model F15LMHA, valued at $3,500. The motor had been taken sometime during the week.
On Friday July 8, 2016 Huntsville OPP was also made aware that items were taken in the previous 48 hours from a boat that had been docked at the Avery Beach boat slips. Taken from the boat was a fire extinguisher, manuals, iPod connectors, remote control for stereo and personal documents.
During the same time, unknown culprits also removed the parking signs from the area and tossed them into the lake.
