A 55-year-old Niagara Falls man has been convicted of impaired driving following an incident in Huntsville last summer.
Alain Marion pleaded guilty in Bracebridge court to operating a motor vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
Court heard that on August 29, 2025, at approximately 7:40 p.m., Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police responded to a traffic complaint about a suspected impaired driver. Officers located the vehicle at a business on Howland Drive in Huntsville.
Police found Marion in the driver’s seat, with a beer and a vodka soda in the vehicle’s cup holders. He later provided breath samples registering 153 milligrams of alcohol, nearly twice the legal limit.
Marion was fined $1,500 and received a one-year driving prohibition.
