Olivia Joiner is an avid ATV Motocross racer with three State Championship wins, multiple podium finishes and top honours in her US race series.
Joiner has been competing in the Girls age 8-13 class as well as the Boys 70 Auto age 8-11 class over the last four years.
This year was Olivia’s first year racing in the US series, “which is a significant step up from her past racing which she dominated,” said supporter Lowell Greib.
Olivia’s father, Cory Joiner, had the pleasure of travelling with Olivia all over the US this summer to cheer her on. “We are super proud of her drive to better herself each time she rode this season.”
She placed second in the Girls class and 6th in the Boys class with only four points out of the series Championship. “The past three years of practice and racing really came together this season,” said Cory.
Motocross is an exciting sport for Olivia as she loves the thrill of the ride. “I enjoy riding because I love the feeling of when I hit a big jump I feel like I can fly, and it is fun to race the boys once in a while. At the last race of the season in Tennessee, when I went over the finish line in first place and before going to the podium, I was able to give all the girls in the race a high five as they came off the track.”
Joiner wants to achieve a championship win for the Girls 8-13 class in the 2019 season and is aiming for a top three finish in the school Boys Junior class.
Over the last four years, Olivia has collected many titles early in her motocross career:
- 2015, 2016, 2017 CMRC Ontario mini open class championship winner;
- 2016 Unadilla, NY National race winner in Girls 8-13 class;
- 2017 National race wins at Sunset Ridge Illinois, Red Bud Michigan, Loretta Lynns Tennessee;
- 2017 US National series 2nd place in Girls 8-13, and 6th in Boys 70 8-11.
The Joiner family would like to thank The SportLab for helping Olivia with her wrist pain/development and her race day nutrition.
