The Huntsville Community Choir is pleased to announce that it will be holding vocal auditions for their Albert E. Furtney Memorial Fund. This is an annual competition to award local youth who show vocal talent and wish to continue in its development.
There are three categories of awards:
- Youth – an award of up to $300 for a child between 10-12 years of age as of Dec. 31, 2016
- Junior – an award of up to $500 for a teen between 13-15 years of age as of Dec. 31, 2016
- Senior – an award of up to $700 for a teen between 16-18 years of age as of Dec. 31, 2016
Applications are currently available at The Huntsville Forester office (all age categories) and the Huntsville High School guidance office (junior and senior categories only). Only 10 applications will be accepted for each age category.
Deadline for the choir to receive applications is Friday, April 21, 2017 and auditions are slated to run on Saturday, April 29 at Trinity United Church. Please note that no late applications will be considered. Good luck to all who apply.
