The Huntsville Festival of the Arts (HfA) invites audiences to experience a truly unforgettable evening of music with Kyung-A Lee and the Orillia Silver Band on Saturday , July 12th at 7:00 PM at the Algonquin Theatre.
Step into a magical candlelight concert, where performers are surrounded by hundreds of glowing candles, creating an enchanting visual and sonic experience. Acclaimed local pianist Kyung-A Lee leads this radiant evening, joined by an ensemble of special guests including a piano trio, vocal duet, and the powerful Orillia Silver Band under the direction of Neil Barlow.
The program spans centuries and styles—from the elegance of Bach and Beethoven, to the fiery flair of Carmen, and the spirited joy of Shostakovich. Each piece is carefully chosen to evoke deep emotion and musical brilliance. The evening culminates in a thrilling finale with a performance of Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2, a dazzling work full of vitality and wit.
