Hospice Huntsville celebrates a record-breaking $93,000 raised!   

Hospice Huntsville and Sandhill Nursery raised an impressive $93,055 for the palliative care organization. Once again, Sandhill Nursery generously selected Hospice Huntsville as the festival’s benefit charity, and Fall Festival guests responded with remarkable generosity. 

Sandhill Nursery’s Fall Festival, spanning seven weeks, was a vibrant celebration featuring an array of autumn-themed activities and entertainment for attendees of all ages. The festival provided unforgettable experiences and memories for everyone who attended. 

“We are so grateful to Sandhill Nursery, Tim, Melissa and their staff, for the support they have provided to Hospice Huntsville. The event was spectacular! A heartfelt thank you also goes to all our amazing hospice volunteers, your contributions made a profound impact,” said Tracy Badger, Hospice Huntsville Events & Residential Volunteer Coordinator in a release issued by the not-for-profit organization.

Each year, the festival not only raises vital funds for Hospice Huntsville but also helps increase awareness about the importance of the organization in the community. This collaboration allows Hospice Huntsville to connect with more people, ensuring that those in need of end-of-life care and support know they have resources  available to them at no cost. The events could not be run without the dedication of both the Hospice volunteers and interested community members who support the organization’s events.  

The funds raised will be allocated to Hospice Huntsville’s ongoing operations, supporting the Day of Care/Month of Care fundraising campaign and contributing to the capital costs associated with the new hospice community program expansion. This expansion will allow Hospice Huntsville to enhance its services and programs for the community, ensuring that individuals and families receive compassionate care during difficult times. Currently, government funding covers only half of Hospice Huntsville’s annual operating costs, making fundraising events like Sandhill Nursery Fall Festival vital for meeting financial needs.

Your generosity has made a significant impact on Hospice Huntsville, allowing us  to continue providing compassionate care, programs and services to those in need,” noted the release.
