The Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame Committee is pleased to announce the 2018 Inductees into the Huntsville Sports Hall of Fame.
COACH Category – Dave Lough for his work and success with the Burnaby Lakers Junior Lacrosse team, leading them to 12 consecutive Minto Cups and winning five of them.
BUILDER Category – Juergen Kuehnen for his tireless efforts with Handball and Soccer in Huntsville.
ATHLETE Category – Linda Rowe for her successes at The Transplant Games, in Badminton and Track events.
ATHLETE Category – George “Twinkletoes” Selkirk , a professional Baseball player, born in Huntsville and going on to play for the New York Yankees, replacing Babe Ruth in the field.
TEAM Category – The 1982 Huntsville Honeys, All Ontario Senior Champions in Women’s Hockey.
These people will be celebrated at the annual Hall of Fame Induction night, Saturday, May 12, at 7:30 pm at The Active Living Center in Huntsville.
In addition to the Inductions, The Jan Glenn and Mike Greaves awards will be presented as well. These two individual awards celebrate The Male and Female Sports People/Volunteers of the Year.

The tickets for the evening can be purchased in advance at Castle Antiques (formerly Treasures & Trophies) anytime after April 23, or at the door the evening of the celebrations. They are $ 20 each.
