Young Slopestyle skiers from across the province laid down their best tricks last weekend (January 23-24) at Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area in pursuit of the Timber Tour podium. The Freestyle Skiing Ontario (FSO) event for skiers under 18 years was hosted by the Muskoka Ski Club.
Seven local skiers competed in the two days of competition, most of them members of the Muskoka Freestyle Team at the Muskoka Ski Club. In all, they walked away with eight medals to show for their efforts and performances they all could be proud of. (Local results listed below.)

As part of the weekend, the Club hosted its first ever 60 for 60 edit competition. Teams of skiers and videographers had 60 minutes to capture footage in the terrain park, followed by 30 minutes to produce a 60-second edit for judging.
The judges’ choice went to the NCR Dogz team, while the lone female entries captured the People’s Choice award. See the two winning entries below and visit Newschoolers.com to see the rest.
