The cold didn’t stop young Nordic skiers from the Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club from posting stellar times at the Suntrail Special at the Sawmill Nordic Centre in Hepworth (Bruce Peninsula).
Seven young racers made the trek to the freestyle race on the coldest day of the winter so far. All placed within the top six in their respective categories. Here are their results:
Bunnies 0.4km free: 1st James Laughton
Mini Midget Girls 1.8km free: 1st Anna Jaklova, 2nd Mya Marshall, 6th Erin Doble
Midget Girls 3.5km free: 2nd Sophia Marshall
Midget Boys 3.5km free: 3rd Riley de Gans, 5th David Laughton
