On January 29th, 2025, the Arrowhead Nordic Ski Club will host their annual Women of Winter (WOW) at Arrowhead Provincial Park.
This is a fun day for women of all ages and abilities to get together to enjoy winter. The deadline to register is January 26. The cost for the day is $70.00 plus the Zone 4 registration fee, which includes park entrance.
The day begins with registration, coffee, and muffins. At 10 am, participants will have the opportunity to improve their classic or skate ski skills with a lesson from qualified instructors.
Lunch will be served at noon, and gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options will be available. Lunch will be catered by Family Place.
At 12:30 pm, there will be door prizes and a guest speaker. Afternoon activities begin at 1:30 with a wide range of choices. The Wow Quest will introduce women to a Biathlon Tryout and HOK skiing. Women can also enjoy yoga, ice skating, or guided ski tours.
The proceeds from last year’s WOW allowed four children to attend this year’s Jackrabbit ski program.
