Unfavourable summer weather has forced Meaford-based organization 365 Sports Inc. to cancel three stops on the Urban Slide 2017 tour, including the one in Huntsville, the company said in a release today, citing a cool start to the season which netted low turn out at earlier events this year.
The company says that all tickets pre-purchased for the Huntsville and Pembroke events will be refunded – it will contact those who have already bought them to issue refunds. Tickets for the Wiarton stop never formally went on sale.
“The odds have not been in our favour this season, so we’re going to focus on our final Urban Slide in Penetanguishene as well as our core event offerings like 5k Foam Fest & Mud Hero which will reach over 100,000 North Americans this summer,” said Jesse Fulton, Founder & President 365 Sports Inc.
The Huntsville event was scheduled to run August 5 and 6.
