Two traffic stops lead to drug charges for three people

 

On June 15, 2019 at 10:00pm member of the Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle on Main St. W. for a routine traffic stop. During the stop it was discovered that the group in the car were in possession of cocaine.

As a result of the investigation at this stop, a 48-year-old female and 37-year-old male, both from Huntsville ON were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, cocaine under the Controlled Drug and Substances act. The two will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Huntsville on July 7, 2019.

On June 16, 2019 at 5:30pm as a result of a traffic complaint, Huntsville OPP stopped a pickup truck in the town of Huntsville. Investigation led to the arrest of a 39-year-old male from Huntsville for having possession of a schedule I drug for the purposes of trafficking – cocaine, under the Controlled Drug Substances Act. He faces two other charges including possession of proceeds of crime and Operating a Motor Vehicle while Prohibited under the Criminal Code of Canada. He was held for a bail hearing, set for Monday June 17, 2019.
