Truck lovers unite! Annual meet at The Garage benefits The Table Soup Kitchen

If you notice more trucks on the road May 28, you’re not imagining things. A group of truck enthusiasts from across Ontario – called Trucks of Ontario – will be getting together for their third annual meet at The Garage. The event even attracts trucks from Quebec, the northern U.S. and as far away as Alberta. In 2015, more than 300 trucks were there.

“These truck owners gather in the spirit of kinship of being a truck owner and enjoying a cruise on a Saturday to our beautiful town,” said Ginger Barkey from The Garage / MBRP Inc. “In addition to just hanging out with friends, we partner with Moose Delaneys to provide a barbecue where all proceeds from the sale of burgers goes to The Table Soup Kitchen Foundation.” Last year, the event raised $1800.

For truck owners who want to test the horsepower of their trucks, The Garage will have a portable dynamometer (or dyno) available.

This family-friendly event is free to attend. Enjoy these photos from last year (see more on The Garage’s Facebook page here), and then join in the fun on May 28!
