Town of Huntsville declares Significant Weather Event

As a result of snow accumulation and deteriorating road and sidewalk conditions, Huntsville residents are advised a Significant Weather Event has been declared for the Town of Huntsville today (Sunday, February 16, 2025). During a significant weather event, residents should note caution will be exercised by crews and standard maintenance levels of service may take longer than normal due to conditions.

Public Works crews will continue to perform winter maintenance operations on all roads and sidewalks and monitor conditions. Residents and visitors are asked to use caution and avoid non-essential travel.

The District of Muskoka has also declared a significant weather event effective as of February 15 at 3 p.m. which pertains to all District roads.
