Each year, school boards in Ontario must prepare, adopt, and submit a school year calendar to the Ministry of Education. School year calendars for the elementary and secondary schools are drafted in accordance with the Education Act and Regulation 304 – School Year Calendar. Public consultation is part of the process for gaining approval of the school year calendar. Parents/guardians, students, staff, and community members are invited to provide feedback regarding the proposed 2024-2025 professional activity days and Board holiday dates.
