This is Huntsville: Honouring the Group of Seven’s 100th anniversary with painted canoes | Video

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Group of Seven artists. The Huntsville Festival of the Arts (HfA) is celebrating with a special art project taking place in downtown Huntsville throughout the summer: seven canoes painted with images inspired by their works.

Unlike in past years, due to COVID-19 restrictions, members of the public will not be able to add their own brushstrokes to the paintings.

Wonderful idea!! Is this happening in seven different locations throughout the town or is Gerry the only painter? And if so, will the project be happening outside the Algonquin Theatre all summer long? Will there be a final exhibition? So many questions arise.
