The Dorset Snowball Winter Carnival is back!

Mark your calendars for fun in Dorset on Friday, February 17, and Saturday, February 18, 2023.

The festival kicks off with a Friday night Skate Party at the Dorset Ice Palace with music by KJ Chris, hot chocolate, and a campfire.  Fun for all ages.  If the ice conditions are not good, there will be a community dance party in the parking lot of the Centennial Lions Park.

Saturday, February 18:

Gates will open at 10:00 am, Carnival buttons are $5 per person (children 2yrs and under do not require a button).

The Snowball parade will start at 10:30 am and will be followed by opening ceremonies.

Then. enjoy a fun-filled day with good food, community vendors, and great entertainment. Don’t miss the “Great Canadian Lumber Jack Show” or Junk Yard Symphony. Sign up for the toboggan and snowshoe races and hockey shoot-out or try your hand at archery. Take a virtual dog sled ride and enjoy the big polar bear slide, and much more.

The event will end the day with Hockey Night in Dorset with the Dorset Hounds playing Lake of Bays for the Dorset Snowball Cup! Game time is 6 pm at the Dorset Ice Palace.
