The adventures with Suni continue for Len Ross

By Shgual Rof Tsuj

Recently we wrote about our encounter with Len Ross and his friend Suni. It just so happens we saw them again in Huntsville and inquired about their recent adventures. It turns out that the two have been up to many things, however, it appears that Suni and Len are now communicating on a level that only they can hear and understand.

According to Len, Suni is a very intelligent stuffed creature that has had the good fortune of attending the University of the West Indies in Bridgetown, Barbados. Although it hasn’t been determined if Suni has achieved any notable degrees or certificates he is very proud of being a citizen of Barbados and at having the opportunity to be present at such a fine institution of higher learning.

Asking about Suni’s adventures, it became abundantly clear that Suni is no ordinary tourist. When inquiring about his activities it was learned that he is quite the traveller. In the last few weeks, he has been to Toronto, Bracebridge, Huntsville, Dorset, and Ottawa. When asked what he liked best I was told that Suni was greatly impressed with the welcome that he had received from everyone, everywhere. When asked what had impressed him, I was told he really likes community theatre and had attended a performance of Beauty and the Beast at the Algonquin Theatre in Huntsville. He particularly liked that the performers were ordinary people doing a fabulous job of entertaining the audience. When asked what else he liked I was told that he had attended a spaghetti dinner in support of the Huntsville Air Cadets at the Royal Canadian Legion where he had a great time.

This reporter did ask if anyone, in particular, stood out and I was told by Len that Suni just wanted to repeat that everyone that he met in Muskoka made him, as a tourist, feel very welcome. However, he did have praise for District Chair Jeff Lehman who took the time to tell him about the District. In return for this terrific hospitality, Suni said that he would be happy to meet anyone or a group so that he could personally share stories about his adventures or his home country of Barbados.
