It was a quieter event than usual, but there was no less spirit for the 2021 Terry Fox Run.
This year marked the 41st annual Marathon of Hope. In a different year, there would have been music and cheering and a mass start for all of the participants. But a pandemic didn’t stop supporters from running, walking, and riding in their own neighbourhoods in support of Terry’s vision: a cancer-free world.
Below are some of those who were out on Sunday, September 19 to complete their version of the virtual 2021 Terry Fox Run.
“It was an awesome day with so many people out doing a ‘try like Terry’,” said organizer Sharon Stahls. “Terry would be so proud of everyone! Thank you Huntsville for keeping Terry’s dream alive, ‘a world without cancer’. Mark September 18 on your calendars for next year’s run.”
