The swimming advisory for Port Sydney Beach has been lifted as of July 5, 2019. Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has confirmed that the water is safe for swimming based on July 4, 2019 test results.
Town of Huntsville swimming lessons programmed for Port Sydney Beach will resume as scheduled. For more information regarding Port Sydney swimming lessons please ask to speak with Cameron Labonte through the Canada Summit Centre Customer Service team at 705-789-6421.
All beach water samples can be viewed on the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit website.
The Town of Huntsville has been notified by Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit that a swim advisory has been issued for Port Sydney Beach regarding water samples collected on July 2, 2019. The Town of Huntsville will post signage and notify residents when the advisory has been lifted.
Town of Huntsville swimming lessons programmed for Port Sydney beach have been moved to the Centennial Pool at Canada Summit Centre at regularly scheduled times until the advisory is lifted.
