School board to review grade distribution of French immersion students in Huntsville

At the April 11, Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) Committee of the Whole Meeting of the Board, trustees approved a motion to complete a review of the grade distribution of French Immersion students between Huntsville Public School and Riverside Public School. This approval is required as the first step to initiate a review.

Families of Huntsville Public School and Riverside Public School have been informed that a review is underway and that once the review is complete, they will receive the details directly from their child(ren)’s school. Any changes to the grade distribution of French Immersion students will take effect September 2024.

Families have been invited to learn more about the review at a community consultation meeting on Wednesday, May 3, in the Huntsville High School cafeteria at 7 p.m.

Following this meeting, options will be taken to the TLDSB Board of Trustees in June 2023 for approval. Information about the review will be posted on the Boundary Review page on the Board’s website.
