The Rotary Club of North Muskoka hosts Perogy-Fest 2022 at the Active Living Centre, 7 Camp Kitchen Road, Huntsville, on Saturday, September 24, starting at 6 PM. The evening includes a dinner of handmade Ukrainian perogies, sausage, sauerkraut, salad, and dessert, plus beer, live music by the DeuxDads, and a dance floor.
“We are so excited to host Perogy-Fest again,” says Cara Schiedel, a member of the Rotary Club of North Muskoka and event co-chair. “The energy on the night is amazing—we have great food, wonderful music, and you can get up and dance. We are looking forward to enjoying another incredible night to support important causes and have fun.”
Funds raised will support both Mind-Aid, a free mental health navigation and support service for children and youth in Muskoka, and Ukraine humanitarian relief.
The club hosted its debut Perogy-Fest in 2019. “There isn’t anything like it in Huntsville,” says Schiedel. “Our club is known for making delicious, handmade perogies that we sell as a fundraiser periodically during the year, and Perogy-Fest allows us to showcase them in a way that brings community together for a good time and a good cause.”
She encouraged everyone to get their tickets early.
“If you love perogies or want to try them for the first time, enjoy live music with classic rock songs, and like to get up and boogie to support very important causes, you will want to be here,” adds Schiedel.
Tickets are $35. A limited number is available and advanced purchase is recommended. Tickets are available at Community Living Huntsville, 99 West Road, Huntsville, and ProActive Rehab, 23 Dairy Lane, Unit 2, Huntsville. Contact [email protected] for further information.
