  1. Richard Ott says:

Graydon won as expected. At this time the voters have made the best choice for Muskoka.
Our hospitals 10 years from now when the first shovel hits the ground will Ford and Graydon still be around
or does it just mean the hospitals are safe for another 4 years? until another party takes over? What does the future hold?

  2. David Gordon says:

Thanks to all of the candidates who stepped up to contest this election. Congratulations Graydon. Wishing you every success as this is what is in everyone’s best interest.

    Norm:

You can’t reason with the irrational, sadly.

I’ve seen nothing but irrationality and petty protest vote mentality from many of the anti PC comments on this site.

We will continue beating the Greens in the future because they have nothing to offer but fantasy and hot air.

  4. Allen Markle says:

Norm Raynor: I have never questioned the efficiency or dedication of the people we have in our hospitals. They have served me well. But somebody is questioning the facilities since, as you say, a billion dollars has been secured for their replacement.

If that’s so then let’s have an end to every dedicated Ford style PC’er assuring me that the money will be snatched away if I don’t vote for them.

Snatch away because I won’t be voting for these people.

  5. Murray Christenson says:

Similar to Mr Raynor, my experience with both hospitals here has been exemplary. In addition, I now have a family doctor in Gravenhurst as a result of policies implemented by the Ford government. We have nothing but even better healthcare to look forward to. In addition, We can also look forward to seeing the Northlander rail service return to Muskoka.
All of this is due in large part to the efforts of Graydon Smith. Why anyone would vote for a green and move our riding into irrelevancy is a head scratcher.

  6. Norm Raynor says:

Mr, Markle, the state of our local hospitals is not as bad as you seem to think they are! I have been treated in the BurksFalls hospital (that MAHC closed). the Huntsville hospital (both old and new) and the Bracebridge hospital. I was and am more than satisfied with my care in the hospitals.

Graydon Smith secured the one billion dollars for the redevelopment of the two sites.
When MAHC wanted to turn Bracebridge into a 14 bed clinic he got that changed!

I say thanks Graydon, and congratulations!

  7. Allen Markle says:

Well done Matt. Appreciate the effort.

You can feel bad about Ontario’s slowing economy. The affordability troubles with both housing and food security. Feel for the street people and challenged living rough in our towns. Worry about our shortage of doctors. The state of our hospitals as well as family health care. You can do little about any of that.

Of course our majority PCs have done little about it all as well. And don’t feel that only having two or three Green members would have been a detraction. At least you might have tried.

    Again, well done and thankyou.

  8. ROBIN ORD says:

Well done Matt Richter! Next time
