After a brief pause in the Huntsville Junior C Otters 2021-22 hockey season, the team, coaches, and staff are returning to the ice with a revised schedule.
The Otters will play at home on Friday, February 4 at 7:30 p.m.
The team will continue to be led by general manager and head coach Marc Gagnon.
Following the mid-January acquisition deadline, the players’ bench increased by three.
Huntsville Otters staff held numerous talks with other clubs. “At the end of day, I felt we have upgraded with the three new acquisitions to help us down the stretch,” said Gagnon.

The team welcomes returning Otter, 20-year-old Colin Jones. Jones was signed for the remaining 2021-22 hockey season.
“The former Otter brings experience and offensive depth to the club,” said Gagnon.

The second player added to the Otter roster is 20-year-old William Major who comes to Huntsville from the Alliston area.
“Major was an AP with Schomberg. He brings size and speed to the Otter line-up,” added Gagnon.

The final move made to the Otter bench was a trade with Powassan for Kyle Den Ouden.
“The resident of Toronto and former Central Ontario Wolves AAA graduate, brings size and experience to us. He is a right winger who will be utilized on specialty teams and in many different situations during the game.”
The Huntsville Junior C Otters are looking forward to seeing their hometown fans in the stands once again.
Come cheer on your Otters this Friday. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
