Muskoka man convicted of indecent exposure five times

A Muskoka man was handed his fifth conviction for indecent exposure following an incident at a Gravenhurst restaurant.

Jeremy Alexander, 47, pled guilty recently in a Bracerbidge courtroom.

Court heard that on the afternoon of Oct 15, 2023, Bracebridge OPP received a call regarding a man who had exposed himself on multiple occasions to staff and patrons at a Gravenhurst restaurant. He remained in the establishment for more than an hour exposing himself, court heard.

When police caught up with the man, later identified as Alexander, on Bethune Drive, he was fully exposed to the officer through a hole in his pants.

Court heard Alexander had four previous convictions for indecent exposure.

He was sentenced to four months of house arrest and 18 months probation. House arrest typically includes a term that no alcohol should be consumed. However, the defence lawyer argued it would be difficult for Alexander to quit consuming alcohol cold turkey. The judge agreed, and no condition was made regarding alcohol consumption.
