For the fourth year in a row, Hospice Huntsville will benefit from the generosity of the staff and clients at ProActive Rehab.
Each year, ProActive team members—11 physiotherapists, massage therapists and support staff—brainstorm a creative challenge to support Hospice Huntsville.
This year all 11 women are participating in the challenge. They are each pledging to walk, run, bike, canoe, kayak, or swim one kilometre for every $20 raised.
Their goal is to raise $500 by October 4 and team members will have the remainder of the month to complete their challenge.
The team member to receive the highest total in donations will have to do something silly. Last year top fundraisers Sarah Tyler and owner Leslie Tempest had to dye their hair purple.
ProActive’s fundraiser for Hospice usually happens in the spring, but this year it was pushed back due to COVID.
“Hospice is a valuable organization in our community,” said Tempest. “End-of-life care is something that is a necessity for people and Hospice Huntsville supports them so well. They need our community support and we at ProActive want to be a part of that.”
Hospice Huntsville must raise 60 per cent of its operating budget each year.
Donations can be made by cash or cheque at the front desk of the ProActive Rehab clinic (23 Dairy Lane, Unit 2), or they can accept an e-transfer. When you donate, be sure to specify which staff member you’re sponsoring.
