The Rotary Club of Huntsville’s Family Fun Day is back, but in a new location this year.
The all-free, Family Day event at Muskoka Heritage Place will feature hot dogs, hot chocolate, music, a campfire, family photos and snowshoeing — with snowshoes provided courtesy of Huntsville Public School, but you can bring your own, too. For those who want to extend their fun, the Town’s outdoor skating rink at Cann Lake is open this year and is just around the corner.
“We started Family Fun Day three years ago. We wanted to offer a free event for families to come and enjoy the day and enjoy where we live,” says club president Kim O’Grady.
Mother Nature hasn’t cooperated for the last two years for the event’s previous location on Cann Lake, so it’s been moved to the Pioneer Village at Muskoka Heritage Place instead.
The Muskoka Museum will be available as well — children can complete a scavenger hunt with the help of some young Rotarians.
“It’s about enjoying the simplicity of the day in terms of just spending time outside,” says O’Grady. “It’s going to be a great day.”
Join in the fun on February 19 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. It’s all free courtesy of Rotary.
