Martin Bennett will be playing to a ‘hometown’ crowd this Friday with the Muskoka debut of the film he produced, The Death of Ian Hall.
Growing up, Bennett lived with his parents, Mary and Randy Bennett in Utterson and attended St. Dominic Catholic Secondary School. The family are very excited to have the short film screened in Muskoka.
The Death of Ian Hall was written and directed by Rick Bartram and produced by Martin Bennett under the Unknown Error Films Production label. It will screen on Friday October 27 at the Gravenhurst Opera House as part of the Muskoka Independent Film Festival (MIFF).
According to the MIFF website, in The Death of Ian Hall, Ian Hall is terminally ill. He and his wife, Catherine, have a difficult decision to make as Ian does not want to keep suffering through the pain anymore. In their last days of love and joy, they spend them with each other as they did when they first met. The film runs 15 minutes and will screen at 7:45.
The Muskoka Independent Film Festival runs Friday October 27 and Saturday October 28. For more information or to buy tickets, visit the Gravenhurst Opera House website or call the box office at 705-687-5550.
