Juno Award-winner Matt Mays salutes Valentine’s Day in Huntsville

Huntsville Festival of the Arts is thrilled to be welcoming back award-winning, singer-songwriter Matt Mays for a very special acoustic performance on Valentine’s Day.

Accompanied by bandmates Adam Baldwin and Ryan Stanley, the “Dark Promises Tour” will feature stripped down and “woody” interpretations of songs from his new album Twice Upon a Hell of a Time, as well as selections from the deep well of Mays’ critically acclaimed back catalogue. Baldwin will also open the shows with an acoustic set of his own songs.

“Matt Mays is truly one of Canada’s most talented indie rockers,” noted Dan Watson, Executive Director of the Huntsville Festival of the Arts. “Over the last 15 years, Matt has released six rock albums and, in 2014, he won the Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year. We are delighted and proud to be offering this calibre of live entertainment in the Muskoka region.”

To elevate the excitement leading up to the show, Huntsville Festival of the Arts is featuring a contest on their Facebook page. To be announced on February 12, the lucky winner and their special Valentine will be treated to complimentary tickets for the Matt Mays concert scheduled for Thursday February 14 beginning at 7:30pm at Algonquin Theatre. To enter the contest, be sure to visit the Huntsville Festival of the Arts Facebook page.
