The Huntsville Jr C Hawks evened their record with a win in a thrilling 10-9 game against Cornwall on Saturday night.
Last year’s scoring leader Chris McLaughlin of Huntsville led the way with three goals, while Jack Drinkwater had a six-point night scoring once and setting up five more.
Dalton Boothby, Nick Van Gelder and Peter Hrynuik each recorded their first goal as a Junior player. As well, Hrynuik added three assists.
Coach Joe O’Halloran was very please with the team’s performance.
It was a real team effort. We played well, with 12 of the 18 players getting at least one point.
Zachary Hubbard faced 52 shots and impressed with his first action with the Hawks.
Huntsville plays in Gloucester Sunday afternoon.
