Local photographer Sandy McLennan has a passion for pinhole photography (read about it on Doppler here). Here’s what he says about this week’s photos (scroll down to see both of them). “The attached photographs are taken of unknown students, likely at VK Greer, around 1986-1988. I had an Ontario Arts Council grant to lead students in making cardboard pinhole cameras, shooting photos and developing the film in a darkroom. These ‘selfies’ have no names on the backs and I’d love to know who they are, especially since I’m currently doing pinhole workshops with students who could be the children of these folks or their friends.” So, Doppler readers? Anyone know who these people are?

Not too many people tried guessing what this meeting was all about.
“I see: Jon Snelson. Peter Keer, Doc Salmon, Bob(?) Adams, other faces I know but the names escape me. No idea what it was about, sign in the back looks like it says: “Recreation Centre”. Don’t be mad but I’d assume it’s about hockey and time use at the arena? Maybe the first new arena build?” ~Murray Milburn via Facebook
You’re close, Murray. Apparently, this is a packed town council meeting about Centennial Centre funding in March 1985.
