The Huntsville Skating Club hosted its 37th annual Skokie Skate at the Canada Summit Centre over the weekend. A total of 307 skaters from all over Ontario attended. Skaters came from points as far north as Timmins, Kapuskasing, New Liskeard and Chapleau, from the GTA and from southern Ontario. There were a total of 469 skate events over the three days.
The Huntsville Skating club has about 130 members receiving instruction from four coaches, Christine Mantle-Marnoch, Megan MacNeil, Linda Vandertas and Tim White.
