Huntsville Public Library closed May 24, 25 and 26 due to air quality issue

UPDATE: The cause of the odour issue was identified as a break or disconnection of a sewage line. The library reopened on Monday, May 27 at 10:00 a.m. Holds awaiting pick up will remain available. Fines will be waived for the closure period. The library board and staff thanked everyone “for their patience, understanding and good humour through all of this. It is very much appreciated,” said CEO Deborah Duce.

Due to an unspecified air quality issue, Huntsville Public Library closed at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24 and will be closed all day on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26.

“We are closing to ensure a safe space for users and staff,” said CEO Deborah Duce.
