It’s Wayback Wednesday!: Huntsville Place Mall | Sponsored by Jamie Lockwood, broker/owner of Sutton Group Muskoka Realty

Wayback Wednesday, sponsored by Jamie Lockwood, broker/owner of Sutton Group Muskoka Realty!

This photo was taken in January 2016, shortly before this business closed.

It’s been seven years since this store closed. It carried clothing, mostly for women, which offered both elegant and more casual selections. This photo was taken shortly before the store closed for good, hence all the sale signs. What memories do you have of the Huntsville Place Mall?

Got any cool photos to share? We’d love to see them! Please send them to [email protected]

Not sure if 2016 qualifies as “ way back”. Did we have a mall in 1916?

We were all very impressed with our little mall in Huntsville when it opened. It was really great at first but then over time, it gradually lost business after business and has been broken down into an outdoor strip mall.
I suppose this is good in some ways too as now one need not go on holiday since every town everywhere looks much the same. Just take a long blink and presto, your on holiday.

What I’d like to see in Huntsville is a Costco, a Princess Auto store, an new movie theater and a bus/train station that actually worked.
Oh yeah! one other thing. Stop telling the rest of the world how great we are. It just causes congestion during periods of good weather, interferes with fishing schedules.

Ironic. When Chris and Ken Thompson hired me as a Realtor in the mid to late 90’s , this corner was the location of Ken J Thompson Real Estate . We then moved down to the left side and then across to the other side . Great duty shifts back in the day !

I miss the Source and the men’s clothing store that Eric Ruby managed. ( not that I’m known as a “ Well Dressed Man. “
