The game last Saturday in Bracebridge between the Huntsville Otters and the Muskoka Bears finished on a high note for the Otters after a busy few days.
On Thursday, January 2nd, the Otters hosted children and families from Autism Ontario with a meet and greet and a skate. After that, they held a charity game with the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Firefighters, raising funds for kids in need, with all proceeds from the event being donated to the Huntsville Minor Hockey Association to help kids play hockey that may not otherwise have an opportunity to due to financial constraints.
This was their second annual charity game held jointly with the firefighters.
Friday night, they hosted the Midland Flyers at the Canada Summit Centre for their first League Game of 2025.
The Otters took the win with a score of 5-0. Saturday night, they travelled to Bracebridge to take on the Bears, winning 3-1. They have played the Bears four times this season, with the Otters winning all four matchups to date.
