The Huntsville OPP are investigating a video circulating on social media this week depicting the removal and burning of a pride flag from a Huntsville school.
Huntsville Mayor Karin Terziano says there is absolutely “no place” in Huntsville for acts of violence and remains “in solidarity” with the LGBTQ2+ community.
“We are deeply upset to hear about this alleged act of violence toward the LGBTQ2+ community and we are devastated to see such activities occur within our community,” says Mayor Terziano. “These types of actions are very disturbing and they will not be accepted in any way.”
Huntsville Council will continue to stand firm against this type of behaviour to ensure our community continues to be inclusive, safe and welcoming for all.
