Sunday December 6 in Minden was a great day for the local hockey squad as they hit the ice for their semi-final and final games to try and capture the Silver Stick banner. They succeeded ….and with authority!
The tournament started Saturday morning with the Otters winning all three of their games against Douro, Ennismore, and Prince Edward County. The Otters outscored the opposition 20-4 over the three games.
Sunday at 11, the Otters won their semi-final game against a strong Temiskaming team 6-0 . The final game saw a rematch with the Ennismore team and the Otters played one of their best team games of the year and skated away with the championship with a 10-2 final score.

The Bantam AE squad will now be traveling to Pelham in January for the International Silver Stick Championship.
