Where do CHRISTMAS TREES go?
Answer: Real trees can be set at the curb in urban areas or delivered to a transfer station.
Answer: Artificial trees can be delivered to any transfer station for a fee.
Give your real tree a natural farewell, no decorations or lights, and we’ll compost it!
Curbside collection is available for Muskoka’s urban households in January. Check your Muskoka Waste app for collection dates!
Outside the urban area? No worries! Drop your real tree off at any transfer station for free until the end of February.
Got an artificial tree you no longer need? If it’s still in good shape, why not spread some holiday cheer? Donate it to someone who’ll love it! Post it on your favorite buy-and-sell site or community group—you might just make someone’s season extra special. Let’s give those trees a second chance to shine!
