Hope Arises Project Inc., an Indigenous-led not-for-profit organization with roots in the town of Huntsville, not only celebrated National Indigenous Day on June 21 at the Algonquin Theatre but also received a generous donation from the Rotary Club of Huntsville.
Rotarian Rob Saunders presented Joyce Jonathan Crone, founder of Hope Arises, with a cheque for $1,500.00 on stage at the Algonquin Theatre toward Hope Arises Project’s work of restoring and preserving Indigenous culture, highlighting Indigenous people’s accomplishments, delivering cultural education, and building capacity for change—all initiatives that form part of the organization’s core mission and values.
