Home Depot remains temporarily closed

Home Depot in Huntsville is temporarily closed due to a fire in the paint section of the business which took place at approximately 8 p.m. on February 5.

According to Huntsville/Lake of Bays fire chief Gary Monahan, there were no injuries and there is no estimated damage at this time.

He said initially the first crew that arrived on the scene reported smoke and the call was upgraded with Stations 1, 3 and 5 attending.

It is still uncertain when the business is expected to reopen. Both entrances to the business are cordoned off.

In the meantime, the business is advising people to shop online.
