Giving Tuesday is a global movement that unleashes the power of people and businesses and asks them to impact their community directly. This year’s Giving Tuesday event greatly benefitted our local Muskoka Seniors organization, raising over $16,000. Donations came in on Tuesday, November 29th in a flurry from residents and business owners, and Greystone Project Management stepped up to match $3,500 worth of donations.
“This Giving Tuesday, we have chosen to support Muskoka Seniors as the need for their services becomes more critical each year. They help our senior community stay independent in their homes, and we relate to that mission; many of our projects have creative solutions to support our community’s changing demographics and encourage health awareness. We are pleased to support Muskoka Seniors and help them meet the growing needs of our community,” commented Pat Dubé, Owner of Greystone Project Management.
Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple initiative encouraging people to do good through giving. Whether it’s time, volunteer work or donations, people are encouraged to take one day to recognize the importance of giving back; and this initiative has seen considerable growth over the last decade. Not-for-profit organizations across the globe take this day to bring awareness to their critical roles within a community and draw attention to their needs.
Muskoka Seniors is a not-for-profit charitable organization who offers a variety of services to those living in North Muskoka including Meal Delivery, Transportation, Social Events and Friendly Visiting. (Visit www.muskokaseniors.org for more.)

Thank you Pat Dube and Greystone for recognizing one of the best non-profit organizations in Huntsville/North Muskoka.
My involvement with Muskoka Seniors as a board member for 20 years is time I have always felt was some of the best years I’ve spent in service to my community.
For so many years the great work done by Muskoka Seniors was not recognized by the general public, while helping as many as 1,000 clients with the many services offered to make life better for our seniors. Now with involvement by community partners like Greystone, more people will be able to be served by this awesome organization.
