Muskoka Music Mix Invites Community to “Spring into Summer” Concert Weekend
The Muskoka Music Mix is ready to welcome the warmer days ahead with its “Spring into Summer” concert, offering audiences an afternoon of memorable music, community spirit, and fundraising fun.
The chorus will perform at Trinity United Church in Huntsville on Saturday, June 6 at 3:00 p.m., and at the United Church in Bracebridge on Sunday, June 7 at 3:00 p.m, with admission by donation.
This year’s program promises something for everyone, featuring a wide-ranging selection of music spanning generations and genres. Audience members can look forward to beloved tunes from movie soundtracks, timeless standards, rock ’n roll favourites, and songs by legendary composers and performers ranging from Irving Berlin to Randy Newman. Adding to the excitement will be a special spotlight on the music of Billy Joel, showcasing some of the iconic singer-songwriter’s most recognizable hits.
“We wanted to create a concert that truly offers something for every musical taste,” said Director Frank Berg. “Whether you enjoy classic standards, contemporary favourites, movie music, or classic rock, there will be plenty to enjoy.” In addition to the Muskoka Music Mix chorus, there will be performances by in-house quartets, Two-Four Time and Makin’ Waves.
In addition to the music, concertgoers will have an opportunity to support the chorus through a silent auction fundraiser. A variety of attractive items and experiences will be available for bidding, including a round of golf for four at South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club, boat cruises, and other exciting prizes donated by local businesses and supporters.
The fundraiser helps support the ongoing activities of Muskoka Music Mix and enables the chorus to continue bringing quality choral entertainment to the community, plus our support of the Harmonize for Speech fund.
Residents and visitors alike are encouraged to attend one of the performances and celebrate the arrival of summer through song, community, and fellowship.
For music lovers of all ages, the Muskoka Music Mix’s “Spring into Summer” concert promises an entertaining afternoon filled with familiar melodies, outstanding choral performances, and the chance to support a great local organization.
