Muskoka Concert Band’s “Songs of Summer”

Our Summer series this year is called Songs of Summer and is a fun collection of music that is sure to entertain you. As usual, we have different programs for each concert so you will have the chance to hear lots of great music all through July. We have a couple of great marches for those of you who like a bit of tradition in your concert – Holiday Frolic and Hostrauser’s March. There will be some Canadian content with two Newfoundland folk songs arranged by Jim Duff. The beautiful melodies of She’s Like a Swallow and the Petty Harbour Bait Skiff are sure to delight.
We have lots of popular music in this year’s programs as well including Owl City’s Fireflies, Disney at the Movies, Broadway Spectacular, Hendando’s Hideaway from the Pajama Game, Tijuana Taxi, some music of the 1960’s in a selection called Bobby Sox Saturday Night, and even some swing band music in Instant Swing Concert.
Join us for any or all of our concerts. All are free (free-will donations are happily accepted) and will be outside in our beautiful Muskoka settings. Bring your lawn chair, a hat and a cool drink and join us for the Songs of Summer!
