Dr. Anissa Boosamra joins Knox Chiropractic Clinic

After a four-year absence, Dr. Anissa Boosamra has resumed her Chiropractic practice as she joins Knox Chiropractic Clinic.

After earning her Doctor of Chiropractic degree at New York Chiropractic College in 2001, she established Able Chiropractic Centre in Huntsville in 2002. She joined forces with Knox Chiropractic in 2004 when Dr. Knox stepped back to raise her young family, and then continued to grow her well-respected practice for the next 10 years.

But when Dr. Boosamra’s husband fell ill in 2014, “I chose to focus my energy on helping him through his battle with cancer, and after he passed away in 2015 I felt that I wasn’t able to serve my patients to the level they deserved and that I expected of myself,” she says.

Now, after a four-year hiatus, “I feel the time is right to return to my Chiropractic roots and to reconnect with my desire to help the people of Huntsville achieve their greatest health potential,” she says, adding that her practice style is traditional. “I like to use Diversified Technique with drop table assistance, and I’m a strong advocate for home stretching and strengthening, which I encourage my clients to incorporate into their daily routines. I believe that a well-adjusted spine allows for a more fulfilling life experience.”

The return of Dr. Boosamra, along with Knox Chiropractic’s newest addition, Dr. Allison Christie, will allow the clinic to offer extended hours to its patients.

“I’m excited to be working with Dr. Knox once again,” says Dr. Boosamra. “We made a great team in the past, and together with Dr. Christie I’m looking forward to a new and exciting dynamic in the clinic.”

Knox Chiropractic Clinic is located at 8 Centre Street North and is open Monday through Friday with extended hours—the clinic is now open three evenings each week to attend to tradespeople and others who can’t make there during the day.
