Community manages to raise more than 40,000 lbs of food for those in need

The results are in. Huntsville and Lake of Bays community members managed to raise 40,367 lbs of food collected this year through the Project Porchlight Food Drive in support of the Salvation Army. Last year the food drive collected 39,128 lbs.

 “A Huge thank you to all of the Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Departments, EMS, OPP and other important volunteers and service groups for their hard work and dedication to this much-needed event, and to our amazing community for coming through again this year. We couldn’t do it without their continued support!!!  What an incredible community we are so blessed to be a part of,” said Krystal Fuller, Salvation Army Community Ministries Coordinator.
