Change of venue for National Indigenous Peoples Day celebration today

From the Town of Huntsville

Please be advised that due to the weather forecast, the Town of Huntsville’s events for National Indigenous Peoples Day have had to make the following changes for the safety and comfort of all:

  1. Activities at Muskoka Heritage Place will run as scheduled from 10:00am to 2:00pm. However, with rain in the forecast, event organizers may need to adapt programming as most activities are being held outdoors. For a list of the day’s event details please visit muskokaheritageplace.ca
  2. The River Mill Park vendor market, ceremony and performances will be relocated to the Algonquin Theatre, 37 Main Street East. Please note the following schedule taking place indoors:
  • 4:00pm – Arts & Crafts Vendor Market
  • 4:15pm – Land Acknowledgement & Opening Ceremony
  • 4:25pm – Ribbon Skirt Fashion Show
  • 4:45pm – Performance by Métis Jiggers and Fancy Shawl Dancer  
  • 6:30pm – Feature Performance by Amanda Rheaume
