A week ago, Chris Bennett was hospitalized, and his family did not know what was wrong. After many tests, it was determined to be West Nile virus, according to his brother Jay, who has started a GoFundMe campaign for his brother.
He said when they learned it was West Nile they were shocked. “We are very happy he is so strong and still with us, however he is currently unable to work,” he wrote. “Doctors say the time to recuperate could be months.”
His family is asking for help. “At this time, we are asking for anything that can help him pay his monthly bills, as he is a self-employed Carpenter / contractor.”
