Arts and craft shows help keep Christmas spending local

Christmas is just over a month away. If you’re still looking for special gifts for the people in your life, some upcoming local craft shows can help you check them off your list while also supporting local artists, small businesses and charities.

From November 23 to 25, the Huntsville High School Life Skills Program will be holding a Ten Thousand Villages Christmas Bazaar in the cafeteria from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

The Huntsville Art Society Christmas Marketplace runs December 1 from 2 to 7:30 p.m., December 2 from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and December 3 from 12 to 4 p.m. at Partners Hall in the Algonquin Theatre. Local artists, awesome holiday gifts!

The Huntsville Public School Christmas Bazaar runs Saturday, December 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, December 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with more than 40 local vendors. Proceeds support the HPS accessible playground project.

Chartwell Muskoka Traditions (16 Legacy Lane) is hosting a Christmas Bazaar on December 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Mistletoe Market Pop Up Shops & Fundraiser is comprised of local vendors and garage sale tables. Two-dollar donations at the door support local food banks. Head to Trinity Hall in Trinity United Church on December 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
