Ambiance Hair Salon will relaunch as Crimson Dawn this winter

When Kathryn Folley, owner of Ambiance Hair Salon, decided it was time to retire her business after 26 years, she knew she had to choose the absolute perfect match to carry on her work.

Just two years ago, Tanya Blain walked into Ambiance with her resume and the pair had an instant connection.

“We had been looking for someone to make this transition for us eventually, someone we could trust and had a passion for the business. So when Tanya came into the salon it was fate—I knew she would be perfect,” said Kathryn.

The pair currently work alongside their office manager, Marlene Watts, who will also be retiring this December with Kathryn.

“Marlene is utterly irreplaceable,” said Kathryn, “She really has kept both me and the business going all these years.”

Kathryn and Marlene have worked together for 23 years so their retirement will be a sentimental send off.

Ambiance has a very loyal following and many clients have been coming to the salon for its entire 26 years.

“Of course you come here to get your hair done but you also come for the conversation. It’s a place where I can share aspects of my life and even learn some things,” said client Wendy Stephen. “I have been coming here for 26 years and I know that I will be in good hands with Tanya.”

Tanya has been a hairdresser for 20 years and will be transitioning the salon into her very own place this coming December.

“I chose the name Crimson Dawn for my business for a significant reason,” Tanya said. “When Kathryn hired me, I was wearing crimson red lipstick and ‘dawn’ represents a new beginning.”

Tanya has recently completely transformed the salon into her own new space to prepare for this December.

The salon before…

…and after.

Crimson Dawn will be a full service hair salon along with aesthetics including full body waxing and pedicures.

Not only will Tanya be starting her own relaunch of the business, but she will also be looking for two to three hairdressers to take over chairs in Crimson Dawn.

Keep an eye out for the relaunch of Crimson Dawn this winter, and until then you can still book with Tanya for your hair or aesthetic needs at 705-783-3321.

I have already spent time with Tanya and think that she is an excellent choice to take over your salon. She is very talented and leads an interesting life.

    Congratulations to all of you!
